book review : without a good bye

Some books deserve to be a bestseller for their story! It’s a heart rendering tale of a child dreams, aspirations and the sacrifices of mother for their children
PLOT
27th October was like a normal weekend. Danica was in Patna with her uncle's family. Before going for her competitive exam, she had called up her mother (Aarti) who lived in Fatehpur in a joint family. They had a regular conversation and ended the call. Aarti said that she would call Danica after her exam, in the evening. In the evening Danica called her mom, but both her mobiles were switched off. She called her aunt and was informed that Aarti had been missing since afternoon. What happened to her? How can the thread that unites a family completely break with this sudden incident? Does ending one's life really end the problems? Is giving up, the only solution to the problem? A daughter and a mother. This is story of a life. You choose to live or to die.
HIGHLIGHTS
ü  “Life never gives a second chance, so live every moment of your dream life, spreading the happiness around so that you never regret two things in the future.”
·         That you missed out on something
·         That you did something wrong.
Take chances and risks in life so that once when you are on a death bed you don’t have this regret that boss I should have done this or that.
ü  Sometimes I wonder, is it what we girls are born & brought up for? For a boys like or dislikes? The wishes of the family also matters; the wishes of a girl’s family are second to none. But what about me? This is so true but thankfully I have made a point to my parents that what I want from my groom. And I am being listened too as well! (wink wink J)
ü  The only difference between a wife & a prostitute is that a wife gets paid & is free to take decisions in life. While a wife is to get respect in society. They use her emotionally physically & mentally without even caring about her willingness, dreams & desires most of the time. I tend to disagree with this statement maybe it’s because of the environment I grew up in. I have seen my dad being there with my mom whenever she needs him. He understands her. The concept of this kind of men is very alien to me. Having said that I don’t refute that other kind of men don’t exist in the society.
ü  This particular line will stay with me for a really long time “children need their confidence boosted by being praised at times; for what they are doing or not done. They have the need to be nurtured for the skills that they have instead of being told to be SOMEONE ELSE. A stone polished by a jeweler later shines like a diamond. But Danica always said that “EVERY STONE IS NOT A DIAMOND EVEN IF A JEWELLER GIVES HIS LIFETIME TO POLISH IT. THERE ARE OTHER VALUABLE STONES TOO. WHAT MATTERS IS TO SEE BEYOND OUR OWN DEFINED HORIZONS.”
ü  This is soo soo true “whatever you do society needs something to talk about. If they want to talk good, they will find something out of the bad , if they want to talk bad they will find something out of the good too”
ü  The language used is very simple and appealing.
Rating 3.9/5
